25 hours a week; Monday to Thursday 16:30 – 21:15 & Saturday 10.00 – 16.00

£14,770 pro-rata / c£8.11 per hour – plus benefits

What being an Inbound Service Sales Consultant involves
Be the voice of a wide range of market leading insurance brands, including Direct Line and Churchill. Speak to a huge array of customers. And tailor your approach to each. Whatever your background, this is a customer-focused sales and service role with real variety.

The joy of working with so many different brands is that they appeal to a huge variety of different people. Your challenge is to do the same. When it’s appropriate you will offer our products, whether that’s car, home, travel or pet insurance, but you’ll also help customers by amending, transferring and renewing policies. When a call comes through, it could be anyone from any walk of life, and you’ll have to adapt your approach accordingly. You’ll follow scripts in certain areas, but how you walk your customers through the process, get to know them, highlight the benefits and match our products to their needs is largely up to you.

Skills and qualities you’ll need
We want people to draw on their life experience, personality and individual talents. If you have sales experience, so much the better. Whilst we offer training, broadly speaking, we look for:

Hours
This role may be offered as Permanent Employment
Part Time Hours.
Shifts 25 hours Monday to Thursday 16.30 to 21.15 and Saturday 10.00 to 16.00. Subject to change with 4 weeks notice.
Your actual working hours will be discussed at interview.
Training will be for a maximum of 7 weeks. Full details of this will be discussed with you once a suitable role becomes available.

Selection Process

Our application process has been designed to make joining us as smooth a transition as possible, it not only provides us with the information we need to decide whether you’re the right person for the job, but also to make sure we’re right for you.

Step 1: Quick online application – During your online application, we’ll be gathering information about you before asking you to complete some quick online tests. Firstly, a questionnaire to consider how you fit with our organisational behaviours and values, followed by an aptitude test to assess your accuracy skills.

Step 2: Telephone interview – The telephone interview is just a short 15 minute conversation with a member of our resourcing team, for them to get a feel for why you’ve applied for the role and the skills you have to do it well.

Step 3: ‘Experience insurance’ assessment – This is a chance for you to come in for a face-to-face meeting to find out more about Direct Line Group and the role you have applied for, as well seeing the office you’ve applied to work in. This stage involves a formal interview with a manager from the business area, and a short role play exercise.
